Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy is a highly specialised procedure for treating advanced spider and varicose veins. Similar to direct sclerotherapy, ugs uses an ultrasound to go that one step further and get the deeply imbedded veins using a very fine needle and injecting a solution into the vein and causing the vein to collapse.

To begin the procedure an examination of the client’s legs is undertaken and a map of the veins is created.
The map shows the abnormal veins and helps our doctors identify the root problem and the best possible solution that reduces the pain and maximises the results.
As soon as the treatment is over the client is expected to wear a compression stocking to ensure the veins are closed up, assists the flow of blood and limits the bruising after treatment.
